چکیده
The objective of this study is to evaluate the turbidity generated during Fenton photo-reaction applied oxidation waters containing carbamazepine as a function factors such pH, H2O2 concentration and catalyst dosage. results let establish degradation pathways main decomposition byproducts. It found that pH affects water. Working between = 2.0 2.5, under 1 NTU due fact iron, added catalyst, in form ferrous ion. Operating at values above 3.0, iron species their oxidized state (mainly ferric hydroxide suspension) would cause turbidity. contribution these process, verifying increases linearly according ratio 0.616 L/mg Fe. Performing with oxidant concentrations (H2O2) mM, undergoes strong increase until reaching around 98 steady state. High levels can be originated by formation coordination complexes, consisting union three molecules substituted carboxylic groups (BaQD), which act ligands towards an atom Fe3+

Oxidation of TNT by photo-Fenton process.
A series of photo-Fenton reactions have been performed for the degradation of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) in a 4.2-l reactor. The degradation reaction rate of TNT followed a pseudo-first-order behavior; and the rate constants for 2.4mW cm(-2)UV only, 2.4mW cm(-2)UV/H(2)O(2), Fenton, photo-Fenton (2.4mW cm(-2)) and photo-Fenton (4.7mW cm(-2)) were 0.002min(-1), 0.007min(-1), 0.014min(-1), 0.025m...
متن کاملComparative Study of Oxidation of Some Azo Dyes by Different Advanced Oxidation Processes: Fenton, Fenton-Like, Photo-Fenton and Photo-Fenton-Like
This study makes a comparison between Fenton, Fenton-like, photo-Fenton and photo-Fenton-like treatment methods to investigate the removal of two acid dyes. The two selected acid dyes are C.I. Acid Orange 8 (AO8) and C.I. Acid Red 17 (AR17). These were chosen as model organic contaminants. The effect of operating parameters, such as amount of Fenton’s reagent (H2O2 and Fe) and Fenton’s-like rea...
متن کاملStudy on Trend of Biodegradability of Phenolic Compounds During Photo-Fenton Advanced Oxidation Process
Phenolic acids constitute a major group of pollutants which are recalcitrant to common biological treatment. In this study synthetic wastewater containing a mixture of p-coumaric and p-hydroxybenzoic acids was evaluated for photo-Fenton pretreatment. The changes in biodegradability (ratio of biochemical oxygen demand to total organic carbon (TOC)) and mineralization (TOC removal) were monitored...

This paper evaluates the degradation of two azo reactive dyes, C.I. Reactive Yellow 84 (RY84) and C.I. Reactive Red 120 (RR120) by photo-Fenton and Fenton-like oxidation. All experiments were performed on a laboratory scale set-up. The effects of different reaction parameters such as initial pH, contact time, effect of light and hydrogen peroxide concentrations on the oxidation of the dye aqueo...
